The Blue Crew
Blue Crew Orientation Leaders
You could play an integral role in introducing new students to UNC Asheville by serving as a member of the Blue Crew and sharing your experiences as a successful student. During the summer, embark orientation leaders (the Blue Crew) assist our incoming students and their families in a variety of capacities, all to make the newest members of our community excited and prepared to come to UNC Asheville. The Blue Crew works to ensure that new students have a positive orientation experience.
To be a member of the Blue Crew, you must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at UNC Asheville. Blue Crew members should be in good academic standing and good disciplinary standing. During the selection process, we look for individuals who are representative of the diversity of the UNC Asheville community in experience, demographics, and interests. Blue Crew candidates should possess a variety of qualities, including (but not limited to): effective communication skills; problem solving abilities; familiarity with campus resources, services, and degree units; energy and enthusiasm; pride in being a UNC Asheville student; a desire to work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and staff; dedication and flexibility; and a willingness to learn.
